Rebecca Moccia

Rebecca Moccia was born in Naples in 1992. She currently lives and works in Milan.
After graduating in Sculpture at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, she graduated in History and Art Criticism at the Statale university of Milan after a period of research on the Brazilian avant-garde carried out at the MAC USP, Museu de Arte Contemporânea da Universidade de São Paulo (Brazil).
Her exhibition path begins in 2012 with the collective exhibition Lintimità dellimmagine come luogo in comune curated by Gianni Caravaggio at ViaFarini, DOCVA, in Milan, followed by Ni Dieu Ni Maitre  (2012) curated by Andrea Bruciati at Galleria Massimodeluca di Mestre (VE); Incontro (2013), curated by Bernard Rudiger and Gianni Caravaggio at Réféctoire des Nonnes, ENSBA, Lyon; Extradelicato 2 (2014) curated by Claudio Corfone, Via Private Pantelleria 5, Milan; Chaotic Passion (2015) curated by Anna Lovecchio and CHAN, Villa Croce Museum of Contemporary Art, Genoa; Throwing balls in the air (2016) for the Academiae Youth Art Biennale curated by Christiane Rekade and Francesca Boenzi at the Bressanone Fortress / Franzenfeste; Io Sono Qui (2017) curated by Lorenzo Bruni, MACRO Testaccio, Rome; More Than Words (2018) curated by Daniela Ferrari at Mazzoleni gallery, London.
2015 is the year of her first solo exhibition Sempre più di questo, curated by Lorenzo Bruni at Galleria Massimodeluca, Mestre (VE), followed in 2016 by Substantial with Ornaghi & Prestinari with the contribution of Ginevra Bria at the The Open Box, Milan and on 2017 the special solo project  Coraggio at Rossmut, Roma.

In 2018 she is one of the artists participating at XXIV CSAV, Antonio Ratti Foundation, Como.

Currently her solo-project Cuore, curated by Stefano Giuri, can be visited at Toast Project Space inside the Manifattura Tabacchi in Florence.

Parallel to the artistic production, Rebecca Moccia writes critical articles for contemporary art magazines, such as Arteecritica and Dasartes Brasil, as well as creating projects that question the ways of fruition and development of contemporary art such as the three editions, from 2015 to 2017 of Studi Festival in Milan, and FEA Lisboa during Arcolisboa 2018.
In July she will be one of the artists selected to partecipate at the CSAV, Artists Research Laboratory, at Fondazione Antonio Ratti, Como.
